What do you know about the 16 Days of Activism for Violence against Women and Girls?
I believe it’s more about creating awareness of domestic violence and its negative impacts that it brings out.
What do you think is the main cause of violence against women and girls in Uganda today?
Gender inequality. Research shows that approximately 95% of all victims – whether women or men – experience violence from a male perpetrator. Our understandings must account for these ‘gendered’ tendencies in order to avoid violence against women and girls.
Lastly, what is one way you think we can spread awareness for Violence against Women and Girls?
By using our voices on social media to bring awareness about gender-based violence and educating people on how it negatively impacts the affected person.
