When Google and Roke Telkom partnered to provide Kampala with low-cost Wi-Fi, our challenge was to get people talking and using the service in plenty.
We did this by anchoring our campaign on Uganda’s sweet spot – food. Ugandans like to feast, and that’s exactly what our campaign gave them. We had Roke Telkom serving big feasts of Wi-Fi Internet muchomo, ‘makarooni’, soup, etc and gave customers the liberty to enjoy as much as they could.
Right from launch day, online media was abuzz with Roke Telkom’s new Wi-Fi service.
